Daniel Lloyd can today confirm a major partnership with new-to-market online card retailer Planet Bee Cards, which will come into effect for the 2023 British Touring Car Championship season.
Daniel is embarking on his third full season in Britain’s premier racing series this year, with the Huddersfield-based racer aiming to build on a successful 2022 campaign that saw him take three race wins and finish tenth in the overall championship standings.
Planet Bee becomes the latest in a long line of Yorkshire-based businesses to team up with Daniel, and will use its involvement in his racing programme to help raise awareness of the brand as it opens for business today, March 1.
A trading name of Daniel’s long-time partner Propack, Planet Bee will provide customers with access to a wide range of online greeting cars whilst operating in an ethical and sustainable manner, with a focus on minimising any impact on the environment.
As well as ensuring that all items produced are fully recyclable, Planet Bee will use both the Ecologi and the Woodlands Trust platforms to offset its carbon emissions through a range of different initiatives that include rainforest conservation projects in Brazil and wind power projects in Thailand.
Planet Bee have vowed to offset all of Daniel’s carbon footprint for the full BTCC season, as well as his own personal footprint, thereby extending its environmental message beyond its core business.
Another key part of Planet Bee’s business will see it work with a number of charity partners to not only promote their individual message, but also to generate much-needed revenue – with a donation being made from every sale on the website by Planet Bee. The two partner charities chosen are Action For Children and Mental Health UK.
The charitable approach to business taken by Planet Bee is very much in line with Daniel’s own beliefs, with the 30-year-old having been a supporter of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield for a number of years.
To celebrate the new partneship, Planet Bee has launched a new competition offering race fans the chance to win two VIP Hospitality passes to a round of their choice during the current BTCC season.
Further information is available across Daniel’s social media channels.
Daniel Lloyd, said:
“It’s always a proud moment when I’m able to announce a new partnership with a local, Yorkshire-based business, but even more so when the business is brand new like this.
“The concept behind Planet Bee is really interesting and they share a lot of the same values as I do myself, particularly when it comes to their plans to support charities at a time when they need help more than ever. The fact that they can help me to improve my green credentials is also important, as it’s something we all need to think about.
“I’m really excited about this partnership, and am looking forward to working with Planet Bee to ensure that it realises its full potential during the season ahead.”
