British Touring Car Championship racer Daniel Lloyd has teamed up with his sponsor – prestige, super and sports car supplier SSC – to host an exclusive event for VIP guests of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

The upcoming event – which is open to specially invited guests only – will be held at SSC’s Huddersfield-centre showroom next week. Children with life-shortening conditions along with their families will get the chance to come along for a meet and greet with former TCR UK Champion Daniel and sit in his multiple BTCC race-winning Vauxhall Astra NGTC machine.

The day will also include the chance to get up close with the collection of prestige and super-powered cars stocked at the SSC showroom. TV production company – FastR – will also be present on the day to capture the event as part of their behind-the-scenes documentary on Daniel and his Adrian Flux with Power Maxed Racing team’s 2021 season which is currently being filmed for Amazon Prime.

“I’m delighted to be able to host an event like this in my hometown;” commented Daniel. “I’ve been an ambassador for the Forget Me Not Hospice for a number of years now but this is the first time we’ve been able to get any of the families close to the racing.

“Shak at SSC has been incredibly supportive and accommodating by agreeing to host the event. It’s a great opportunity for us both to showcase the partnership benefits of working together away from the race track.

“Everyone involved is buzzing for next week. Hopefully, the day will not only help to put a smile on the faces of the kids and their families but also to help raise awareness for the Forget Me Not Hospice and the important work that they do.”

Forget Me Not Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions – plus their families. They help hundreds of children, and their families, through their Hospice at Home service and at the fantastic purpose-built building – Russell House – in Huddersfield.
