Daniel Lloyd will retain support from Technology Desking for the 2023 British Touring Car Championship season after announcing an extension to his agreement with the market-leading office supply business.
Technology Desking joined forces with Huddersfield-racer Daniel mid-way through the 2022 campaign, with the new partnership coming into force on the weekend he stormed to a stunning double victory at Croft.
The innovative business, known for its forward-thinking approach to developing office solutions to meet the exacting needs of individual clients, would not only provide vital support to Daniel’s on-track programme, but also played a key role in helping with his recovery from the dramatic accident at Oulton Park that threatened to derail his season.
Having been forced to deal with an ongoing back injury for a number of years caused by a bulging disc, Daniel found himself dealing with additional pain after the 43G impact that he suffered in the Oulton Park incident hampered his usual rehabilitation programme.
The need to spend extra time in front of his computer working on proposals to bring in additional sponsors also threatened to cause further issues for his back before Technology Desking stepped in to provide Daniel with a special ‘Sit Stand’ desk.
That allowed him to continue work free from any discomfort as he put the deals in place that allowed him to not only complete the season, but also secure a top-ten championship finish.
Technology Desking’s ongoing support comes as Daniel heads into his third full-season in Britain’s premier racing series, with the 30-year-old set to do battle at the wheel of a new Cupra Leon being run by Team HARD.
“The support from Technology Desking was crucial last season, as much for what they were able to do for me away from the circuit as for the backing they gave on track,” Daniel said.
“I’m absolutely delighted that our relationship is going to continue into 2023, and I’m looking forward to working with the team on new ways to maximise our partnership in its first full season.”
