Daniel Lloyd has opened the door to potential new partners for his Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship programme after revealing a number of sponsorship packages remain available for the 2022 campaign.

Huddersfield-racer Daniel currently sits eighth in the championship standings after the opening three meetings of the new season, which sees him doing battle in Britain’s premier racing series for a second year in a row.

Daniel is one of only four drivers to have scored points in every race so far this year, and has picked up an impressive seven top ten finishes from nine starts.

“It’s been a positive start to the season so far on track,” Daniel reflects. “I’m still getting my head around the new car, so to be sitting eighth in the championship with a lot more to come is an exciting position to find myself in.

“The commercial side of things has also been extremely positive, particularly when you consider that I only returned to racing in the UK last year and had to pretty much start from scratch again. So far this year, I have a total of 19 businesses supporting me and a 100% renewal rate from last year which is amazing, particularly in what have been difficult times for everyone.

“This year I decided to go all in and invest in things like more testing, starting a YouTube channel, making my end of season track day and my black tie dinner ball bigger and better, and much more.

“This of course means my overheads are larger, so even though the support I have is great, I’m still actively looking for a few more partners – and with the huge network I have in place, I believe I can offer great value packages for a potential partner.

“I’d love the opportunity to be able to put together a bespoke package for anyone out there who might be interested.”

Already this season, Daniel has been able to secure the support of a number of new partners, all of whom have been able to reap the rewards of their involvement with the Yorkshireman to gain impressive brand exposure in the opening rounds.

Having carried ITV’s onboard cameras for the Donington Park season opener, Daniel has twice been chosen by the broadcaster to feature in prime interviews on the grid ahead of races.

On track, Daniel’s battling performances on track featured extensively on the Brands Hatch race day broadcast, which was seen by more than half a million people after a switch from ITV4 to the main ITV channel. A similar broadcast arrangement is in place for the upcoming meeting at Oulton Park.

Keen to build on the results scored to date, Daniel is looking for new partners who are keen to support him in his championship battle over the remainder of the campaign, which has seven rounds still to run between now and October at circuits around the UK.

A range of different packages are available to suit a wide range of budgets and provide partners with a raft of benefits – which can include everything from branding on Daniel’s car and race helmet right through to access to a special black tie dinner ball for partners and to Daniel’s end-of-season track day event at Silverstone.

“My sponsorship packages range from £2,500 upwards and every package is tailored to the client,” he continued. “Ideally, I like to sit down with someone to ask what interests them first before I put a package together. Some businesses might not get any benefit from branding on the car, the same as some businesses might not get any benefit from corporate hospitality passes to race events and track days.

“This year I’ve opened up new accounts for some of my partners, I’ve gained backlinks to websites to strengthen their position on google and I’ve hosted top clients at race events to strengthen relationships. Motorsport sponsorship is so much more than just a sticker on the car, it’s all the activation that backs it up which matters.

“Saying that, we still have some mega positions available on both my race helmet and car. We have two local races coming up, as well as Silverstone in September – which is always a huge event.

“As you can imagine in the world of sponsorship, I’ve been told no more times than I’ve had hot dinners so please don’t let this put you off showing some interest. If I put together a package and it’s not for you then of course it’s no problem at all.

“I’m just looking for the opportunity for a chat with anyone who is interested in getting involved for the remainder of the season, and on the back of a solid start to 2022, there is still plenty more to come as the year goes on.”
