Daniel Lloyd will be able to give fans a true drivers eye view of the action when the new British Touring Car Championship kicks off at Donington Park after confirmation that he will carry ITV’s onboard cameras for the 2022 season opener.

The addition of the onboard camera will provide fans with the opportunity to join Daniel in his EXCELR8 Motorsport-run Hyundai during the opening three races of the new campaign, which will be the first of the BTCC’s new hybrid era.

The Huddersfield-racer will also be able to offer additional insight from behind the wheel, thanks to a direct audio link with the ITV commentary team of David Addison and former BTCC title winner Tim Harvey.

All three races on Sunday will air live on ITV4HD at 11:50, 14:40 and 17:25.

Daniel Lloyd said:
“I had no idea I’d be running the ITV camera this weekend until I walked into the garage to see it being fitted to the car, which was a bit of an unexpected surprise.

“Since launching my new DLR TV YouTube channel, fans have appreciated the chance to see more about what goes on behind the scenes, and you can’t get much closer to the action than joining me on track this weekend.

“It will also provide fantastic exposure for a number of the partners who are so important to my racing programme, and hopefully we’ll be right in the thick of the action across the three races.”
