Daniel Lloyd will look to return to front-running form in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship this weekend when the series heads for Snetterton for the seventh meeting of the campaign.

Huddersfield-racer Daniel endured a weekend to forget last time out at Knockhill, where a combination of unfortunate events combined to prevent him scoring in any of the three races.

Despite that, Daniel was able to retain his place inside the top eight in the championship standings, a position earned on the back of a strong campaign to date in his EXCELR8-run Hyundai i30 Fastback N.

With a stunning double victory at Croft to his name already, Daniel heads for Snetterton looking to once again challenge for silverware, with the 30-year-old having enjoyed a productive afternoon of testing at the Norfolk circuit last month.

That allowed Daniel and the team to work on refining a package that was victorious at Snetterton last season, with hopes high of challenging for a repeat result this time around.

“I’m really looking forward to getting out on track this weekend at Snetterton,” Daniel said. “I’m feeling in a really good place mentally, and am determined to go out and make up for the disappointment we all felt after Knockhill.

“The plan now is to put that weekend behind us, press the reset button, and come out fighting. Even though I didn’t do as much running as some during the test, it was very productive and there were a few things we discovered that I feel are going to help us this weekend.

“I certainly think we can look to hit the ground running, and I’m confident we can be in the mix for the podium places and score some good points to try and close the gap to the drivers ahead.”

Daniel will be cheered on trackside this weekend by members of the Daniel Lloyd Racing Members Club, as well as guests from sponsors Quantum Solutions – who joined fellow backers Abracs, Optimum Vehicles and Calder IT for a special event alongside Daniel at the BRDC last weekend during the British MotoGP round.

The racing action this weekend will be split between ITV, which will air races one and two at 12:08 and 14:15, and ITV4 – where the final race can be seen at 17:10.

Saturday’s qualifying session will be available to view on the ITV website, with live timing throughout thanks to TSL Timing.

The latest installment of Daniel’s behind the scenes look at the 2022 BTCC season will be live on his DLR TV Youtube channel at 7pm, reflecting on the Knockhill race weekend.
