Daniel Lloyd will provide local sponsors – along with their family, friends and children – with the chance to get up to close to his British Touring Car Championship race car when the Yorkshire ace appears at a special launch event being held by Future Flooring this weekend (22 July).
Huddersfield-based Daniel has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Future Flooring since the early stages of last season, when the company came onboard as a full sponsor to support his programme in Britain’s premier racing series.
That followed a toe-in-the-water move that saw Future Flooring sign up for the Daniel Lloyd Members Club – his unique initiative aimed at small businesses and individuals who were keen to get involved in Daniel’s racing.
With the successful Yorkshire-based business going from strength to strength in all areas – including the residential, commercial and automotive sectors – Daniel and his Team HARD-run Cupra will appear at a special event being held to celebrate the opening of Future Flooring’s new showroom in Copley.
The event will provide people with the chance to quiz Daniel on his racing career and to get a close-up view of his race car, whilst also exploring Future Flooring’s expansive product range.
Food and drink will be available, whilst there will be the chance to win a raft of prizes in a raffle – including up to 20㎡ of Amtico or Karndean flooring, and a trophy won by Daniel during his BTCC career – to help raise funds for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, of which Daniel is an ambassador.
The event will run from 12:00-16:00.
“It’s always great to have the opportunity to work with a local business, and my partnership with Future Flooring is one that has really grown over the last twelve months,” Daniel said.
“Their support has been invaluable when it has come to my on-track programme, and events like this are a fantastic was for me to give something back and show that our partnership is one that works both ways.
“I don’t often get the chance to show off my race car in the local area, so it will be great to bring the Cupra ‘home’ and give the various local partners involved in my racing programme the chance to have a closer look at the car as excitement builds for the second half of the season.
“It promises to be a fun day with plenty going on, and I’m sure a lot of the youngsters will enjoy the chance to sit behind the wheel and pretend they are part of the BTCC grid themselves. I’m looking forward to it, and have no doubt it will be a successful start for Future Flooring in its new showroom.”
