Calder IT has become the latest Yorkshire-based business to reap the rewards of a partnership with Daniel Lloyd after expanding its relationship with the British Touring Car Championship race winner into the 2023 season.

Calder IT – which offers a range of IT service packages to customers across the UK – joined forces with Daniel for the first time in 2021 when it signed up as one of the early backers of the Daniel Lloyd Racing Members Club; the unique initiative set up by Daniel to allow individuals and small businesses to support his racing.

On the back of a successful start to the new relationship, the Halifax business then signed up as a full sponsor for the 2022 campaign, which would see Daniel score three race wins and secure a top-ten championship finish for the first time.

Off-track, Calder IT was able to benefit from the extensive marketing opportunities that come from partnering with Daniel – with the high profile of the BTCC paddock making it a fantastic place to develop new B2B relationships.

One such relationship with Propack came as a direct result of both being involved in Daniel’s racing programme, with Calder IT able to provide the business with a full range of bespoke IT services geared towards its specific needs.

The expanded partnership between Calder IT and Daniel Lloyd will see the company benefit from branding on his race helmet, and also have a presence trackside at a number of events to cheer Daniel on at the wheel of his Team HARD-run Cupra.

Daniel Lloyd said:
“Calder IT is another example of the success of the Members Club and it’s great to be working with them for a third straight season.

“Our relationship has developed and grown in a very short space of time, and I’m particularly proud of the fact that this is another Yorkshire-based business that I can help to promote to a wider audience.

“Calder IT has already been able to benefit directly from our partnership through the relationship it now has with Propack, and having also made use of their IT services myself, I’d urge anyone looking to make use of their high levels of service to get in touch.”

James Bulley, MD Calder IT, said:
“We’re delighted to sponsor Dan Lloyd in the Team Hard Cupra for the 2023 BTCC season. Calder IT started supporting Dan in 2021 as a DLR member and then as a sponsor in 2022. We’ve seen business growth from working with him in 2022 and have increased our customer base because of this relationship.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with Dan to support his own IT requirements and cheering him on at some of the rounds this year!”
