Daniel Lloyd will seek to maintain his quest for the Independents’ title in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship when the series heads for Silverstone this weekend, with Ecommerce Intelligence boosting its support for the Huddersfield-based racer for the penultimate meeting of the year.

Daniel bagged a brace of class victories last time out at Donington Park to take him to six wins for the season; results which moved him up to second in the standings with six races to go.

Daniel is now just two points behind leader Mikey Doble and just a single point clear of Restart Racing team-mate Chris Smiley, meaning every race is more crucial than ever to determine who will ultimately come out on top.

Heading to the Home of British Motorsport, Daniel will look to build on a solid run of results at the circuit in the past, which include a double podium finish in the BTCC back in 2021. It was also the venue where he scored his best result in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB last year, having picked up a third place finish in the second race of the weekend.

Daniel will also hope to benefit from the fact that the Hyundai i30 Fastback N being used by his Restart Racing team is a proven race winner around the short National layout, having taken three victories in recent years.

This weekend, Daniel will be able to count on the support of a large number of his commercial partners who will be present trackside to cheer him on, with Ecommerce Intelligence having also increased its backing for the weekend.

Having joined forces with Daniel earlier this year, the company – an Amazon data-driven performance agency working at the cutting edge of ecommerce – will be now take over the windscreen header on his car across the weekend to gain even greater levels of brand awareness, with the racing action being visible in front of a large audience both trackside and also on ITV4.

Additional coverage for Daniel and his sponsors comes from the fact that he will carry one of ITV’s onboard cameras for the three races this weekend, which are set to take place on Sunday at 11:30, 14:40 and 17:10,

“I’m really looking forward to Silverstone, particularly because this weekend is going to be the busiest of the year in terms of how many guests I have coming along to support me,” Daniel said. “Hopefully they will all enjoy the experience and we’ll have a reason to celebrate together when we get to the end of race day!

“We’re at that stage of the season now where each race matters more than ever and after a difficult start to the year left us on the back foot, we’re now right in the thick of things in the race of the Independents’ title.

“A strong weekend at Silverstone could allow us to wrap up the Independent Teams’ Trophy, which would be a fantastic achievement in the first year running the Hyundai, and would also allow me to maintain my own challenge for the Independent Drivers’ crown going into Brands Hatch.

“I’m confident that our package will be strong this weekend and my focus is on trying to run consistently inside the top ten and pick up as many points as we possibly can.”
