Daniel Lloyd will bring the curtain down on his 2024 season this weekend with the annual dinner ball held for the various partners who have backed his programme in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
The event on Saturday evening will see Daniel’s partners come together for an evening of entertainment with more than 100 guests able to enjoy live music from a DJ alongside a singer, saxophonist, magician and a three course evening meal.
For the second year in succession, Daniel will partner with Iain Henderson Designs as sponsor of the event, with the Yorkshire-based business offering one lucky person with the opportunity to acquire a bespoke piece of jewellery worth £3,000.
The jewellery will be the main prize in a raffle held during the evening, with the lucky winner being invited to Iain’s studio in Bingley where they will be able to work on the final design for the piece alongside the man himself.
The sponsors ball is the second post-season event held by Daniel for his partners on the back of another successful running of the annual Daniel Lloyd Racing track day, which was held at Blyton Park last week.
Guests in attendance – comprising of his corporate partners and their clients – were able to showcase their skills in a race of high-performance cars, with track time available alongside a pro instructor in a Porsche Cayman GTS, Alpine A110S, Toyota GR86 and BMW M2, as well as a fleet of Renault Clio Cup cars.
The highlight however was the opportunity to climb aboard Daniel’s Toro Verde GT-run Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car for a high-speed passenger ride alongside the multiple race winner – offering the unique opportunity to see him at work at close quarters.
“People often think that when the chequered flag falls on the final race, we can just jet off to the sun for a holiday and relax – but it couldn’t be further from the truth,” Daniel said.
“If anything, this is the busiest part of the season as work starts on trying to put everything in place for 2025, whilst also taking time to thank those people who made it possible for me to go racing again this year.
“As ever, the track day was a huge success and it was great to see people enjoying the experience of sampling some pretty impressive cars – and of seeing what my Porsche is capable of!
“I’m sure the dinner ball will be just as successful this weekend and am looking forward to working with Iain for a second successive year to offer one lucky person the chance to win a stunning piece of jewellery created to their own design.
“It promises to be a great way to round out 2024.”
