Daniel Lloyd can today an announce a new partnership with Iain Henderson Designs for the annual dinner ball held for the various partners involved in his programme in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

Ahead of the event on the 11th of November, Daniel was eager to try and find a jeweller who he could work with to design a piece to be raffled off during the event, resulting in a social media post to drum up interest – and plenty of questions over whether he was planning to pop the question to girlfriend Emma….

Having received a number of messages from a people interested in teaming up, one stood above the rest in the shape of Iain Henderson Designs, a Yorkshire business operated by someone with a love of all things automotive.

Based in Bingley, the company was founded in the mid-1990s and originally worked with a number of High Street retailers before electing to switch its business model to work with individuals looking for custom-made, one-off pieces that they will not find elsewhere .

Discussions between Daniel and Iain quickly resulted in a plan being formed and for the sponsors ball, Iain Henderson Design will create a pair of special bespoke platinum diamond earrings, including top grade stones, with the total carat weight for both earrings coming in at just under the 1ct mark.

Valued at £3,850, the earrings will be raffled off during the event, which will also feature a special auction as well as DJ, live band, saxophonist and a three course evening meal.

“Working with a jeweller to create something bespoke for the sponsors ball is something I’ve been considering for quite a while,” Daniel said. “I decided that this was the year to put a plan into action, and after a social media post that led to lots of ribbing from my mates about proposing to Emma, it was Iain who emerged as the perfect person to work with given he is a local business and also a racing fan.

“Having seen the quality of his work, I’ve got no doubt that the earrings he is creating for the event are going to be spectacular, and I’m sure they will be really popular with the people coming alongon the night – and particularly whoever the lucky person is who gets to take them home!”
